Happy birthday to me!

Yes, my birthday was almost 3 weeks ago, thank you for asking, but as I said before, I have been busy. 😉

My first birthday celebration in Crete was wonderful! I happened to still be at the cafe/bar run by my friends when it hit midnight, so they brought out a little cake for me and played Stevie Wonder’s Happy Birthday, then we did shots of tequila (still trying to decide if it was a good idea to tell them how much I like tequila, because I have done more shots than I have since college, lol). The next day (on my birthday), they took me to this lovely taverna up in the mountains for the type of meal where they just keep bringing dish after dish after dish, and they were all SO good! And then there were multiple desserts, each better than the last! And to top it all off, we brought back a cheesecake that was a work of art, and one of the best I have had.

I worked that night at an expo/night market that went on for a week in Georgioupolis, and that was a really fun change of pace, with live music and even fireworks (which were obviously just for me on my birthday 😉).
