Pirmasens, Germany

Never heard of it, don’t feel bad, neither has my German friend. Likely because it is located adjacent to the middle of nowhere. But what was most important, was that it was located between where I was leaving, and where I was going to next, and in that offered exactly what I needed. And I managed to find a 4-star hotel and restaurant there that could offer parking for my car and trailer. Perfect.

The hotel and the food were lovely. It rained shortly after I got there, so I wasn’t going to wander out in any case, but it was perfect for a cozy evening in.

I wish I had more to say, but the countryside of Germany in the area was quite flat, and is mostly farms, based on the smell of manure at frequent intervals. It was not the most interesting part of the trip so far, but I was able to move the quickest through it with the well maintained highway system (thanks to German efficiency!). It was a good time for podcasts and audiobooks, less so for sightseeing. So alas, I have no pictures of the landscape, here instead is my dinner.
